A shopaholic bitten by the travel bug

Ciao lovelies,

I have been so busy working away that I haven’t had much time for myself at all. I missed the days lounging at home in my pjs, reading my favorite blogs over a cup of tea and soft music playing in the background…. that is dolce far niente for me… the sweetness of doing nothing.

And finally on this lovely Sunday morning I get to surf in leisure and discover new blogs.

I am so excited to share with you Lune Vintage. My morning was mostly spent devouring her blog. I heart all her DIY tutorials, especially the videos. Check it out here. I’ve literally pinned all her DIY tutorials on pinterest.

And then there’s this lovely music by Oliver Tank & Rainbow Chan that I found via I Like Nice Things

Found an inexpensive way to make your own washi tape,

And came across the sweetest porcelain pitcher.

My morning was gratifying. And now its time to head out and enjoy the sunshine.

Buona giornata. Have a great week ahead lovelies!

xx cs

Mode A La Mode.
They make lovely fabrics and other crafty goods.

I love their website, so pretty and cool.
And those catalogs certainly make me drool.
Sadly they deal only with wholesale
so find a distributor if you are retail.

Or simply browse through and let yourself be inspired!

    Happy Lunar New Year Lovelies!

I’ve spent the first day of the lunar calendar:

eating { barbeque pork – its my favourite new year goodie! }

lazing { in bed }

reading { lovely blogs }

playing {with my little niece and nephew }

working { borrrring }

dreaming { of the things I love }

receiving { these pretty little red envelopes of money }

and planning. thinking. researching { my latest obsession }

A pop-up scrap{story}book of our {me and my other } recent trip to Marrakech!

Yes! I’m so excited!

 What better way to document those happy days?  { or even just the day to day }

I was convinced by Shimelle

And the garden girls from Two Peas in a Bucket { how sweet is the name? }

Combine that with my love for Robert Sabuda

So! I’ve said it! That means now I MUST do it!

I’ve planned the storyboard.

Thought of the book title.

Have an idea.

Its time to start getting the supplies and doing it.

Wish me luck.

Fingers crossed.

I hope I make it

And in time for Valentines

Not just another silly thought in my head.

Ending up nowhere.

Now that New Year celebrations are over.

Lets focus on the next holiday.

♥ Valentines Day ♥

I have never really bothered to celebrate valentines day before.

I find it commercialized & over-rated.

It is not that I’m boycotting valentines day.

I just dont think roses and dinners at exorbitant price is justified.

I believe that

    every day is a day to show that you care.

It would be nice to receive {and to give} flowers on random days.

It doesnt have to only be on valentines day.

///

This year, however,

I am thinking

of making a little something… just to make the day a little more

    special

{ in addition to all other 364 days }

Something homemade

    { from the heart }

Here’s some inspiring ideas

and I just want to share them with you too.

Tell him 10 Things I Love About You { via Kara’s Party Ideas }

Throw a dreamy vintage valentines day tea party { via Kara’s Party Ideas }

{ You see, Kara is THE party queen. Her blog is just full of amazing and inspiring party ideas! }

Or build a colourful moroccan tent

And bake some valentines day sweets

Make an embroidered portrait of him and you

Create an art piece with your travel souvenirs together

Whisper sweet nothings on the pillows {via everyday celebrating }

Or just a simple treasure box of love and memories

What about you?

{ What is your plan for Valentine’s Day? }

It’s been a while since I’ve seen sunshine now. The gloomy skies of London is seriously depressing.
So I took my colour papers out and busied myself with a little kindergarden art & craft to cheer things up.
And a little surprise for him when he comes home 🙂

Skip and dance leaving shiny trails. Glitters is such a brilliant way to glam things up. With some glitters and pva glue, it looks like almost anything can be made bright and shiny with a magic touch.

Here’s a roundup of simple DIY tutorials from some glittering creative bloggers for inspiration. Click on the link or pictures to see the tutorial.

1. Sweet glittering ballet flats perfect for dancing in the gardens.

2. Ruby red shoes reminds me of Dorothy from Wizard of Oz.

3. I love these glamorous sneakers for the city girl (me!).

4. An awesome video that shows you step-by-step in mixing the ‘magic glitter potion’.

5. Miu-miu inspired glittering collar from Refinery29

6. Glamorous gold clutch for that dinner party. Such a great idea from Julia to use a felt cloth for the bow. So pretty!

7. These glittering tights  are probably my favourite glitter DIY. I love the etheral look of the tights even if they can probably only survive a night. After all, Cinderella has to leave the castle when the clock strikes twelve.

8. And last but not least. A good way to use those left over glitters – glittering nails!

a dollhouse made lovely | making it lovely

This!!! is insane!!! So pretty in pink! And a mini dollhouse in a dollhouse… cuteness!

I wish my home can look like this!

I’m so inspired to make my own dollhouse too! A petite version of my dream-home maybe.  Except I would have nowhere to keep it.  Home is now on a 120 litre suitcase with wheels.

When I finally settle down in a location, I will start this ultimate DIY project. Until then, I can only clip lovely pictures and store them away on pinterest.
